Velvet Wu, based in the greater Seattle area, creates art on the complex nature of humanity. Fascinated with topics such as memory, emotion, and beauty, she hopes to capture such aspects of the human experience with as much accuracy as possible.Working mainly with acrylic and color pencil, her pieces incorporate dream-like imagery and subtle, yet vibrant, color palettes.Believing art to be as effective at communication as language, Velvet hopes that her work draws attention to itself and evokes strong emotions in others.
